2025 Registration OPENS Sunday, February 16th at 10 am
Thanks to a recent purchase made by Rising Appalachia Founder Weston Lombard, a USFS Grant we received last year, and a generous donation made by the Circle of the Child Conservation League (CCL) in December....
We now have access to an additional 40 acres of forest to play in! Some exciting features include:
A 1 mile hiking trail that meanders down to the creek, through wildflowers, edible, and medicinal plants
Cleared areas of the Forest behind the Pavilion, offering shaded play options in the heat of the day
A low ropes course featuring fun challenges for both individuals and teams under the canopy of a thriving forest
We will be spending A LOT more time in the woods this summer and can't wait to explore the Forest with our campers!
*Note: If you have remaining ACE funds from 2024, you may use them at RAW Camp! However, we are no longer in their database (it's a long, complicated, ridiculous story!). ACE requires that you pay up front and select to be reimbursed, adding our information manually to their website, along with a receipt. We apologize for any inconvenience; this is out of our control.

Since becoming a nonprofit in 2016, Rising Appalachia has never had to turn away a child due to the cost of camp. Follow this link to learn about the application process and qualifications.
For registered parents, or for those just looking, the For Parents page is an in depth overview of what it's like for your child to enjoy a day of camp. Complete with packing lists, an overview of the daily schedule, and explanations for drop off and pickup, this page sorts out the details of preparing you and your child for camp.
