Trip Accessibility Statement
Our trips are open to youth ages 13-17 of all colors, faiths, income, genders, orientations, and experience levels.
At Rising Appalachia, we believe that everyone should have equal access to participation in our trips. No one should be unable to join due to a lack of funds, experience, or access to gear. For all of our trips we provide the following: tents, sleeping pads, backpacks, stoves and cook-wear. If your child is in need of additional gear, we can help you obtain it.
Additionally, scholarships are available for all trips.

A note on our updated COVID trip policies. All participants will be required to provide proof of full vaccination OR a negative PCR test 3 days prior to the start date of the trip. We do this as we travel in order to keep communities and individuals as safe as possible. We thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
Mad River Mountain Ski Trip
$620
Trip cost includes: Travel, lodging, food, ski passes and rentals! December 27-30, 2021
3 night, 2 day overnight ski trip for teens ages 13 and up.
Please note, a deposit of %50 of the trip cost is required upon registration for all trips. Join us for a ski adventure to Ohio's own Mad River mountain! During this trip we will be staying at the Kirkmont Center in Zanefield, Ohio which hosts hiking trails, a fire pit and a full kitchen to prepare family style meals. From our home away from home we will day trip to Mad River for 2 full days of tearing up the mountain. Our final day will include a guided morning hike before we travel back home in time for the new year.
This trip is being led by experienced ski and snowboard instructors; all abilities are welcome!
