Our staff of practitioner educators want to facilitate your next farm, forest, or recreational experience!
Whether you want to attend an educational class, take an interactive tour of our farm and forest, or participate in a seasonal gathering, we have engaging, meaningful opportunities for the whole family!

Tours on the Land
We offer guided tours of our grounds to individuals, families, and groups of all sizes. Options range from our full farm tour to deep dives on forest gardens, animal engagements, to plant identification and use hikes, and beyond. Rates are $30 for the first attendee and an additional $5/per person after that. Schedule here or email: westonlombard@risingappalachia.org with inquiries.
Cultural & Historical Interpretation with Lawrence Greene
Lawrence is a historic and natural interpreter. Former Lead Naturalist at The Wilds and Highlands Nature Sanctuary, he has 20 years of experience leading hikes and nature-based programs. He is currently offering the following two programs:
