Come to the 1st of our Seasonal Series for the whole family!
Join us as we welcome SPECIAL GUEST Austin Cannon! Austin is a former Rising Appalachia Apprentice with an extensive knowledge base in Earth Skills, and a playful spirit.
After group fire building, Austin will lead Primitive Fire Building Challenges while others forage and play with the kids!
We'll end the day with tea, candle making, and a community fire.

Join us for a day of exploration and engagement at Solid Ground Farm!
This family-friendly fundraiser and showcase will highlight some of the amazing new projects and programs developed through our Community Ecology Apprenticeship Program.
Offerings include:
Guided tours of the farm and forest
Nature-based youth games and activities
Earth skills and craft opportunities
Indigenous cultural exchange,
A Natural building workshop
Presentations on regional work to grow a place-based regenerative economic system.
An optional sit-down lunch will be offered from 1 to 2pm, during which supervised youth activities will be available down the hill. During the meal, we will offer presentations about efforts to grow a place-based economic system and discuss the future of Rising Appalachia.
