We are hoping to turn the old Sugar Creek Mining Company Land that runs from Mill Creek Rd over to Keirns Rd and 550 into an 845-acre Community Commons and working Forest for the benefit of neighbors and the region, ensuring perpetual access to hunting, hiking, foraging, and rural livelihoods.
Community members living near the area and anyone interested in learning more about this project are invited to come help share the vision, offering input and voicing concerns.
Join us to help shape Ohio's First Community-Governed Working Forest!
Snacks, beverages, and childcare provided.
Reach out to jstanley@theoec.org or weston@risingappalachia.org with questions.
We hope to see you there!
